JUNCTION: NORTH LONDON CULTURAL CONSORTIUM
2012CAMDEN ARTS CENTRE

Junction: A North London Cultural Consortium, a shared platform for cultural activity in North London. The project is intended as an open ended partnership between arts organisations working collaboratively on projects to support new work, share programmes and build new audiences. The Consortium currently comprises Camden Arts Centre, Cubitt, The Place, Wellcome, The Slade School of Fine Art, Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design and UCLH NHS Foundation Hospital Trust.

The launch for Junction: North London Cultural Consortium is at Camden Arts Centre with introductions from Jenni Lomax, Director Camden Arts Centre; Eddie Nixon, Artistic Director The Place; and Richard Wentworth. This is accompanied by a series of exhibitions, performances and specially commissioned artist led walks around King’s Cross by Rebecca Birch, Simon Faithfull, Tanya Loi and Katherine Midgley responding in different ways to the history, environment and people of the area. These walks can be followed using the Junction Map available from all Consortium venues or as a download at the bottom of this page.
